In what we view as the most interesting example of recycling and home design in quite sometime, a client of Dutch design studio Denieuwegeneratie became so inspired to live in an eco-friendly home that he took a vintage Jaguar that he owned and mounted it inside to use as a bookcase and liquor cabinet, according to Fast Company.
Other interesting pieces in the sustainable residence that is designed to generate more energy than it uses include a teapot chandelier and a staircase made out of skateboard decks.
“Since the house was going to be a sustainable example, he could not drive around in a fuel-consuming car anymore,” said Denieuwegeneratie architect Thomas Diebe. “Selling it would do more harm than keeping it.”
We’re pretty sure that some of the owner’s friends would have been quite happy to take the Jag off of his hands.
